I am a 22 year old multimedia and web designer and developer based in North London/Hertfordshire currently working as a 'Web Production and Marketing Manager'. I have recently graduated from UEL with First Class Honours in 'Interactive Media Design' BA (Hons). I create and build appealing, easy to use and functional web and multimedia interfaces based on user-centric design principles which comply with W3C web accessibility standards.

Recently, I have been lucky enough to win a BIMA award within the student category which celebrates excellence in interactivity and multimedia for Dead On Arrival (read more), a project I co-created with Geoff Gaviria as part of our final year student projects when studying at UEL. The award was announced at the glamorous awards gala ceremony held in the Midnight Gardens, Truman Galleries in East London.

Since as far back as I can remember, I have been into my art and creating things, whether it was from simply doodling away in classes to spending hours working on little creative projects at home. However, I only really caught the design bug and made it my passion when I was first introduced to software applications such as Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver while still at school. From then on I spent nearly all my spare time at school & 6th Form on the few PCs in the art department familiarising myself with various design and web development packages creating graphic designs and minisites for myself and friends.

Today I still have that same enthusiasm for the area, which is why I chose to study Interactive Media Design at degree level. Not only did this course allow me to pursue my passion, but it also allowed me to further my scope for design and development with modules focusing on many areas such as; static and dynamic web design, interactive animation and games, designing for print, photography, 3D modelling and interactive virtual environment building and implementing, filmmaking and video editing, and also audio editing and manipulation. Since successfully completing this degree, I have learnt a lot more (through my job) about user-centric design / user pyschology, technical & creative skills, and online marketing / SEO.

The software I currently use to design and develop multimedia projects and websites are; Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Director, Maya and 3DS Max amongst others. I hand code sites and other multimedia with meaningful, valid and search engine friendly XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Actionscript, Lingo and much consideration for the end-user.
